Dana McMillan, BA, RMT, NCBTM

My journey to becoming a RMT began as a youth, growing up in Port Perry. My passion for sport led me to pursue a Specialized Honours BA in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University and graduated in 1998. The knowledge gained in anatomy and physiology only furthered my interest in health, fitness and the powerful ability of the human body to heal itself naturally. It has been 10 years since I graduated, on the Dean’s list, from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. I am also a certified therapist in the United States. I believe in tailoring a massage towards the individual needs of each client by using the fundamental modalities within Swedish massage to get the best results possible. I have taken courses in deep tissue work, sports massage and pre and post natal massage as well as infant massage.

I have been with Brooklin Village Massage Therapy Clinic since February 2009 and enjoy working with the talented staff and friendly clientele in this small community. Outside of massage therpy, I continue to be involved in sport, enjoy travel and spending time with family and friends.

Mary-Anne

Being a RMT is a lifelong dream come true for me. My background in customer service has certainly helped me in being more attentive to clients’ needs.

I have been fortunate enough to work with diverse groups of people. Through my experience in hospital outreaches, working at a gym, a spa and corporate environments, I have gained more knowledge and ability to work with a variety of conditions.

During my treatments I like to focus on decreasing fascial restrictions, releasing tension in muscles, working on maintaining good blood circulation throughout the body and decreasing pain.

One of my goals as a RMT is to help people become aware of their bodies, educate them on how they can heal while offering individual care, encouragement and support.

I joined this amazing group in June 2010 and I look forward to being a part of its continued success.

Sara

My name is Sara Drake I am a mother of two beautiful babies. Being a mother of twins is the best keep secret in the world!! I have been a RMT for over 8 great years and love every day I go to work. I try to keep as current as possible and take courses every year. My favourite thing about being an RMT is listening to people and learning things from clients and helping them feel better whether it is muscle related or just to chat! I also love a good challenge

Tara Bendle

I attended the Canadian College of Massage and Hydro therapy, and graduated in 2004. Since starting with Brooklin Massage Therapy in 2007, my main focus as a massage therapist is to strive to help clients relieve pain, decrease the affects of stress with their daily lives and to help create a maintenance therapy for overall health.

My strengths as a therapist have proven to be lower body injuries. With many injuries with knees/hips and ankles in my personal life, I can generally sympathize and understand clients desires to get better.
