What is Massage Therapy?
Massage Therapy is the manupulation of soft tissues which include, muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. The aim of massage therapy is to develop, maintain, rehabilitate, or enhance physical function of the soft tissues in order to decrease pain and adhesions, improving the well being of the client.

What do RMT's do?
A registered massage therapist stretches and exerts pressure on soft tissues. This decreases adhesions and pain, allowing increased circulation (and nutrition) to the affected areas. Increased nutrition aides in the healing process tremendously.
What to expect from Massage Therapy
The goal of your first few massages will be to begin pain relief, reduce tension and sedate stressed nerves. Your first visit will not solve your problems, but will start the process, as well as provide you with an overall sense of well being.Following your first visits, and once your condition is relieved, your massage will focus on the underlying cause of your symptoms, and the strengthening of the tissues surrounding the problem area in order to prevent the return of your previous condition.
